60mm Macro + Mountain Bike + Mud
As I spend more time with this Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 G Micro lens, I like it more and more. Here is a photo essay of a well used Trek Superfly 8, after a muddy day on the trail in Western Washington. All photographs are at f/16, shutter speed 1/125 second, and around 800 ISO.
More images and commentary on Nikon's 60mm f/2.8 G Micro here. As a professional photographer, I have never done macro photography officially. I am learning as I go with this lens. What is strikingly clear, is that shallow depth of field when shooting close, is impossible to avoid. Even at f/16, the depth of field widens but not really that much. So... focus stacking seems to be my next adventure and thing to learn. I'll keep you posted!
